About the owner

Ibu Adilah is a mother of four and a devoted wife. Born in Saudi Arabia, she grew up moving across the world as an oil industry baby, living in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Scotland, Texas, and New York. She considers Houston her home, having spent most of her life in the city. She earned a BFA in Ceramics from the University of North Texas before discovering her passion for birth work.

Her journey into birth support began after the birth of her first daughter in 2015 in New York City, where she experienced firsthand the invaluable role of a doula. This inspired her to become a birth doula, dedicating herself to providing emotional and physical support during pregnancy and labor. With over 120 births attended, Adilah is committed to educating and empowering families, respecting their choices, and ensuring a positive birth experience. Now, as a midwifery and alumni at The Direct-Entry Midwifery program at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC), she continues her mission as part of a duo midwifery team at Tulip Midwifery, serving the Greater Houston area.
